We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of hundreds of lives caused by heavy flooding in Democratic Republic of the Congo’s South Kivu province following which a day of national mourning has been declared on 8 May 2023.

We extend our sincere condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the disaster and to the friendly people and Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
