Ambassador Ayda Ünlü graduated from the Department of International Relations at the Ankara Universit, Faculty of Political Sciences.

At the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Ambassador Ünlü has served in several senior capacities within Deputy Directorate General for International Organizations, Deputy Directorate General for the Northeastern Mediterranean, Deputy Directorate General for NATO and Euro-Atlantic Security and Defence, and Deputy Directorate General for Citizens Living Abroad and Property Affairs.

Ambassador Ünlü has undertaken various assignments at the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Nuremberg, the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Thessaloniki, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in the Hague, and the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Türkiye to the United Nations Office at Vienna.

Ambassador Ünlü served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 2018 to 2022.

Between 2022 and 2026, Ambassador Ünlü served asDirector General for Overseas Promotion and Cultural Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Since 19 January 2026, Ambassador Ünlü has been serving as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Podgorica, Montenegro.
