We are saddened to learn that many people have lost their lives and thousands were forced to flee their homes due to the floods and landslides caused by the tropical storm Megi in the central and southern Philippines.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives as well as to the friendly people and the Government of the Philippines, and wish speedy recovery to the injured.
