Following the crisis in March 2017, our expectations for normalization of relations between Turkey and the Netherlands are well-known. In the wake of the events the Dutch authorities were informed that return of the Dutch Ambassador to Ankara was not desired. Thus, since that time the Netherlands` Ambassador to Ankara had not returned to our country.

At this stage, Turkey is ready to consider the relations between the two countries, should the Netherlands show the will to take the necessary concrete steps for normalization.
